Cartoon Network has announced the premiere date of it’s brand-new CG animated take on the Dark Knight, Beware the Batman, will be July 13 at 10 a.m. ET/PT. The new Warner Bros. Animation series, which is being produced by toon veterans Glen Murakami and Mitch Watson and exec produced by Sam Register, will be the latest to join the channel’s action-packed DC Nation block. The premiere episode will be followed by Teen Titans Go! at 10:30 and joined by all-new animated shorts.
This slick new take on the Batman universe will challenge the franchise’s core characters with a rogues gallery of never-before-animated villains. With back-up from secret agent-turned butler and confidant Alfred (voiced by JB Blanc) and lethal swordswoman Katana (Sumalee Montano), the Caped Crusader (Anthony Ruivivar) will take on the twisted machinations of Gotham’s criminal underworld led by the likes of Anarky (Wallace Langham), Mapie (Grey DeLisle), Mr. Toad (Udo Kier), Ra’s al Ghul (Lance Reddick) and Professor Pyg (Brian George).
