Fox to Introduce ADHD Toons in Primetime

Fox-TV plans to introduce its audience to two of its late-night animated shows Axe Cop and High School U.S.A! during primetime on July 21. The two highly anticipated toons, which are produced at the Animation Domination High-Def studios in Los Angeles, will air during the 9:30 p.m. half-hours instead of American Dad repeats.

The block’s official premiere is officially set for Saturday, July 27, at 11 p.m. It will will now feature new originals of both series and encores of the July 21 episodes—followed by an encore of The Cleveland Show.

Fox’s ADHD block was originally supposed to be 90 minutes long—but now it will only run for an hour. The network will return the first midnight half-hour to affiliates beginning September 7.

Axe Cop is exec produced by toon veterans Dave Jeser and Matthew Silverstein (Drawn Together) and features the voice of Nick Offerman, Megan Mullaly, Patton Oswalt, Ken Marino and Peter Serafinowicz. The show is based on the original web-comic created by then five-year-old Malachai Nicolle. His brother Ethan Nicolle (29) created the comic’s art. Axe Cop was developed by ADHD president and former Adult Swim development head Nick Weidenfeld and Judah Miller (American Dad). Here is the trailer:
