+ Copyright Promotions Licensing Group (CPLG), a DHX Media subsidiary, has appointed Pau Pascual to the newly created position of General Manager-Iberia. CPLG is the largest licensing agency network in Europe, managing a large Entertainment, Sports and Consumer Goods brand portfolio. Pascual joined the company’s Spain division in 2010 as marketing, sales and retail director for all brands. Previously, he managed global licensing operations for FC Barcelona Merchandising, a Spanish Nike affiliate.

+ Spanish production/distribution house Imira Entertainment has sold its original animated series Lucky Fred (52 x 12) to Spanish broadcaster group Atresmedia Television for its kid’s entertainment block, Neox Kidz. The comedy series follows a 13-year-old boy who accidentally becomes the owner of a super advanced, shape-shifting robot, with whom he navigates middle school, saving the world, and avoiding the plots of Agent Brains. The show will be available to audiences in Catilian and English with dual broadcast via DTT Free TV. The sale is part of Lucky Fred‘s re-launch in the country; the series has aired in 165 territories and dubbed into 26 languages.

+ Zodiak Kids has secured a slew of sales throughout Asia for over 280 hours of its kids entertainment programming. Cartoon Network has picked up season three of Horrid Henry (52 x 11) for India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, the Maldives and Sri Lanka. Discovery Kids has acquired broadcast rights for The Foundation’s live-action show Mister Maker (20 x 20) for India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Zodiak has also secured and extensive agreement with Singapore’s MediaCorp for 260+ hours of programming for its Toggle Kids channel and SVOD service; including Totally Spies, Dani’s Castle, Dani’s House, Little Princess, Team Galaxy, Street Football, Trapped, Norman Normal, Martin Mystery, Gormiti, Monster Buster Club and Lili’s Island.
