International brand manager PGS Entertainment has acquired worldwide media rights (excluding U.S. and France) for Bagdasarian Productions’ upcoming CG animated series ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks (52 x 11). Produced with Genao Productions and created by Janice Karman, the TV follow up to the three successful live-action/CG films will be the ‘munks first small screen appearance in 20 years and will feature the mischievous mammals and their pals The Chipettes as well as all new original songs.

The Chipmunks are the number one family property and number one characters for kids 6 to 12,” said Philippe Soutter, Co-founder and President, PGS Entertainment. “The new series produced by Bagdasarian Productions and Genao Productions will really surprise people. It’s stunning in CGI and the original music is fantastic. We look forward to introducing the series to broadcasters at MIPCOM this fall.”
Set to premiere in 2015, Alvinnn!!! and The Chipmunks is touted as a “rollercoaster ride of music, laughter and universal stories geared to entertain The Chipmunks’ four generations of fans.” The producers have aimed for sophisticated CG animation for the rodents’ latest series of adventures. The show is exec produced by Karman, Ross Bagdasarian, Sandrine Nguyen and Boris Hertzog, with original songs from Bagdasarian Productions.
