Animation Magazine is pleased to announce its line-up of presenters for the award ceremony at the World Animation & VFX Summit, Opening Night Party, on November 3, 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. at the California Yacht Club in Marina del Rey, CA.
Academy Award-nominated actress Catherine Keener (the voice of cavewomen Ugga in The Croods) will present Chris Sanders and Kirk DeMicco with the Original Vision Award; Oscar-winning producer Jon Landau (Titanic, Avatar) will present Industrial Light & Magic’s CCO John Knoll with the Lifetime Achievement-Hall of Fame Award; Executive Producer Tiffany Ward (Mr. Peabody & Sherman) will present Hollywood voice icon June Foray with the Lifetime Achievement-Hall of Fame Award; President and CEO of animation software powerhouse Toon Boom Joan Vogelesang will present DQ Entertainment CEO Tapaas Chakravarti with the Lifetime Achievement-Hall of Fame Award; and acclaimed actor Donald Faison (Scrubs, Robot Chicken) will present Stoopid Buddy Stoodios (Seth Green, Matthew Senreich, John Harvatine IV and Eric Towner) with the Breakout Studio Award. One of Toon town’s most popular and versatile voice actors Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants) will emcee the casual awards ceremony.
Catherine Keener is the Academy Award-nominated actress for her roles in Being John Malkovich and Capote. She is currently in the films Enough Said and Captain Phillips.
Tom Kenny, well known as the voice of the beloved SpongeBob of SpongeBob SquarePants, is one of the leading voice talents of the industry. The Annie-winning actor’s credits include: Disney Channel’s Wander Over Yonder, Ultimate Spider-Man (TV series) and The High Fructose Adventures of Annoying Orange (TV Series).
Jon Landau is the Academy Award -winning producer of blockbuster epics such as Avatar and Titanic. Partnering again with director James Cameron, they will be producing the sequels to Avatar.
Joan Vogelesang is President and CEO of Toon Boom. The company is the Emmy-winning leader in digital content and animation creation software, offering a wide range of products from powerful pre-production tools to leading-edge animation production solutions.
Tiffany Ward (Jay Ward’s daughter) is the owner of Jay Ward Productions Inc. and Bullwinkle Studios. She is executive producing the upcoming DreamWorks Animation’s feature film Mr. Peabody & Sherman.
Donald Faison is the acclaimed actor best known for his role in NBC’s long-running comedy-drama Scrubs. This year he played he also starred as Dr. Gravity in Kick-Ass 2, and in the popular TVLand series The Exes. He has voiced numerous characters on Kim Possible, The Boondocks, TRON: Uprising, American Dad, Adventure Time and Robot Chicken.
World Animation & VFX Summit takes place November 3-6 at the California Yacht Club, Marina del Rey, California.
