Animation Summit Announces Full Lineup of Events, Guests

Animation Magazine has announced its full lineup of guests and events for next month’s three-day event (Nov. 3-5). Sony Pictures Imageworks’ award-winning vfx supervisor Jay Redd (Men in Black 3, Monster House) and renowned animator, historian and professor Tom Sito will deliver the 2013 vfx and animation keynotes.

VFX Feature Film Case Study

Visual Effects Supervisor John Knoll and Animation Supervisor Hal Hickel will present Industrial Light & Magic’s exciting work on Guillermo del Toro’s blockbuster Pacific Rim.

Animated Feature Film Case Study

Sony Pictures Animation’s Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 creative team (Director Cody Cameron, Producer Pam Marsden, Co-Producer Chris Juen, Production Designer Justin Thompson, Art Director Dave Bleich) will be on board to talk about the ins and outs of development, production, and the challenges of making an animated feature for today’s global audience.

Also featured is the VFX and tech team from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ eagerly awaited holiday feature Frozen. They will share their behind-the-scenes process of making the movie.
