Disney’s much-anticipated animated feature Frozen will premiere at New York Children’s Festival on Sunday, November 10 at 11 a.m. (at the Village East Cinema). Directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, the movie is a modern take on Hans Christian Andersen’s Snow Queen, centering on feisty princess Anna who teams up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven in an epic journey find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. The 3-D pic features the vocal talents of Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff, Josh Gad and Idina Menzel. The movie opens nationwide on November 27.
Preceding Frozen is Walt Disney Animation Studios’ all-new short Get A Horse! with Walt Disney himself as the voice of Mickey Mouse in a never-before-seen short featuring Mickey, his pal Minnie Mouse and their friends Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow as they delight in a musical haywagon ride. The award-winning short is directed by Lauren MacMullan (The Simpsons) and produced by Dorothy McKim with Eric Goldberg and Adam Green as heads of animation.
