CG Student Awards has announced that entries for the 2014 Autodesk CG Student Awards will be accepted through May 15, 2014. Owned and produced by The Tasman Theory Pty Ltd and sponsored by software giant Autodesk, the event seeks to showcase excellence in computer graphics created by students and recent graduates from the world’s leading training facilities. Results will be announce June 3, 2014.
This year’s Awards offer over $230,000 (U.S.) in prizes and 15 studio internships available to winners. Competitors can submit work to six categories: School of the Year, VFX/Animation, Next-Gen Gaming, Young Guns (a new category open to secondary/high school students), People’s Choice (voted on by the public) and Bootcamp Placements, which offer winners the chance to intern at leading studios Crytek, Weta Digital, Double Negative, Epic Games, Framestore, Gameloft, The Mill, Method Studios, MPC, Ninja Theory and Prime Focus.
Submitters can download the latest versions of Autodesk Media & Enteratainment portfolio from www.cgstudentawards.com for free to create their entries. All computer graphics students that attended an accredited course during the span of January 2013 to May 2014 are welcome to submit their demo reel and best work to the Awards.
