The Pixel Animation event taking place in Quebec City’s TRYP Hotel Pur April 4-5 will offer two days of master classes and networking events with 14 key artists from major studios including DreamWorks Animation, Sony Pictures Imageworks, Weta Digital and Blizzard Entertainment. The event is co-organized by Pixel Quebec and TECHNOCompetences with additional support from Ville de Quebec, Telefilm Canada and College Bart.
Professionals from the videogame, visual effects and animation industries will have a chance to meet and learn from leading creatives like Disney animation supervisor Hyrum Osmond (Frozen), director Kris Pearn (Sony’s Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2), DreamWorks’ head of animation Pierre Perifel (Kung Fu Panda 2) and others. The first day of the event will culminate in a networking cocktail reception for guests and attendees.
