‘Franklin’ Gets White House Invite for Easter

Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana will be participating in this year’s White House Easter Egg Roll, with the star of its popular preschool brand Franklin and Friends attending the age-old event for the first time. Based on the book series written by Paulette Bourgeois and illustrated by Brenda Clark, Franklin and Friends airs on the Nick Jr. in the U.S. and Treehouse in Canada.

The 136th annual White House Easter Egg Roll will take place on the South Lawn April 21 and will promote health and wellness with the theme “Hop into Healthy, Swing into Shape.” The event will feature live music, sports courts, cooking stations, storytelling and of course Easter Egg rolling. The activities will encourage kids to lead active lives in support of the First Lady’s Let’s Move! initiative.
