Actress and fashion correspondent Kelly Osbourne has joined the cast of Disney’s animated series The 7D, a modern take on the seven dwarfs of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs fame.
The 7D story finds Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Dopey, Grumpy and Doc hard at work helping the quirky Queen Delightful (voiced by Leigh-Allyn Baker of Disney Channel’s Good Luck Charlie) keep her kingdom in order.
Osbourne will voice the role of Hildy Gloom, a novice witch who, together with her warlock husband, Grim (voiced by Emmy-nominated Jess Harnell of Disney Junior’s Sofia the First and Doc McStuffins), haplessly plot to overthrow the kingdom.
The stellar voice cast includes Disney Legend Bill Farmer (the voice of Goofy) as Doc, Maurice LaMarche (Pinky and the Brain) as Grumpy, Kevin Michael Richardson (Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja) as Happy, Dee Bradley Baker (Phineas and Ferb) as Dopey, Scott Menville (Teen Titans) as Sneezy, Stephen Stanton (Doc McStuffins) as Sleepy, Billy West (Ren & Stimpy) as Bashful and Paul Rugg (Animaniacs) as Lord Starchbottom.
Parry Gripp, the creator of viral videos such as Hamster On A Piano (Eating Popcorn) and Baby Monkey (Going Backwards On A Pig), is the songwriter and composer for the series and performs the theme song.
Produced by Disney Television Animation, the zany and broadly appealing series will be presented on three Disney TV platforms: Disney XD, Disney Channel and Disney Junior, beginning this summer.
Emmy Award-winner Tom Ruegger (Animaniacs) is the executive producer, Tom Warburton (Codename: Kids Next Door) is the co-executive producer, Sherri Stoner (Pinky and the Brain) is story editor and Alfred Gimeno (Tiny Toon Adventures), Jeff Gordon (Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley Winks) and Charles Visser (Animaniacs) are the directors.
