MIA Now Open for Pitch Contest Submissions

The MIA Animation Conference & Festival, taking place in Miami October 10-11, is now accepting submissions for its Pitching Contest. Creators are encouraged to submit their projects for consideration in one of two categories: Animation for Television and Web Series, kids 13 and under; and Animation for Television and Web Series, audiences 14 and up.

The top entries from each category will be selected as finalists and notified by September 5. The top pitch in each category will receive an award and recognition at the festival screening, as well as being set up with three meetings with relevant buyers and/or talent representatives.

An industry panel on the art of pitching your project will be hosted by Leah Hoyer, a Disney Television Animation veteran who is now animation & gaming narrative director for Microsoft studios, and will include representatives from Disney, Cartoon Network, Microsoft Studios and The Third Floor.
