‘Sailor Moon Crystal’ to Simulcast on Neon Alley, Hulu

VIZ Media will be launching the giddily anticipated (c’mon, you know you’re excited) new anime series Sailor Moon Crystal on Neon Alley and Hulu starting July 5. The rebooted shoujo property will debut simultaneously in North America with its online streaming premiere in Japan. Future subtitled episodes will also premiere simultaneously in the two regions on the first and third Saturday of each month.

Based on Naoko Takeuchi’s global-hit manga series, Sailor Moon Crystal (rated TV-PG) retells the story of Sailor Moon, a.k.a. the semi-manic schoolgirl Usagi Tsukino, as she searches for her fellow Sailor Guardians and the Legendary Silver Crystal in order to stop the dark forces of Queen Beryl.

Aspiring Sailor Scouts can watch the show free on NeonAlley.com and ad-supported Hulu, as well as the Hulu Plus subscription service available through Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and 4, Roku, Chromecast and mobile devices. The series is being produced by Japanese studio Toei Animation, which also produced the original series and subsequent seasons.
