Nickelodeon will host the U.S. debut of popular anime franchise Little Battlers eXperience — or LBX — on Sunday, August 24 at 10 a.m. ET. The premiere was announced by Dentsu Entertainment USA’s president & CEO Yuma Sakata. The series will be unveiled for the first time at San Diego Comic-Con this week. The 26-episode series is being produced by Dentsu in association with Rollman Entertainment.
Based on an original concept by LEVEL-5 and the Japanese franchise, LBX follows the adventures of miniature, customizable robots and the kids who interact with them. Van, the main protagonist, competes in an ongoing series of LBX robot battles to stop villains in a quest to save his kidnapped father. Each mini robot is customized and programmed by its teen owner, who commands its actions in the epic battles.
Additional information including trailers, episodic clips, pictures and more are available at Nicktoons.com. Bandai America is already on board the licensing train with their line of SprüKits models, and Dentsu is seeking additional L&M partners across all categories.
