Software developer MAXON has announced WinC4D.com, a new contest website where digital artists using Adobe After Effects CC and Cinema 4D Lite — a limited version of the company’s award-winning 3D package bundled with Adobe Creative Cloud and After Effects CC — can compete in themed animation contests designed to showcase the innovative ways professionals can use the two programs. Entrants to the contests will be competing for a Grand Prize copy of Cinema 4D Broadcast.
The launch competition, “Ultimate Prize Fight,” asks artists to submit a “knock-out” 10-second, prizefight themed animation. Some assets including models and textures have been made available on the site to kick start contestant’s projects. The Grand Prize winner will be chosen by a panel comprised of some of today’s leading 3D artists. Fans and contestants visiting WinC4D.com now through September 30, 2014 can help out their favorite entries by giving “Props” or “Paper Plate Awards” in a variety of categories, like “Eye-Candy Crown,” “LOL Master,” “Most Innovative” and more.
