Amazon Greenlights Five Kids’ Pilots

Following the debuts of its first three original kids’ shows, Amazon Studios has announced it has greenlit three animated pilots for preschoolers and kids 6-11. The newcomers will join the previously announced pilot for a new version of Sarah Solves It, arriving early next year on Amazon Instant Video. Customers will once again be invited to check out the shows and provide feedback to help guide Amazon’s series development slate.

New animated pilots include:

Buddy: Tech Detective (pre-k) Super-sleuth Buddy follows clues to crack the case with the help of his highly organized best friend Trudy, ferret Ferdo and the smarty-pants viewers. Written by Jennifer Hamburg (Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Super Why), the show is produced by Zodiak Kids’ The Foundation and animated by Jellyfish Animation Ltd.

The Stinky & Dirty Show (pre-k) Best friends and unlikely heroes Stinky the garbage truck and Dirty the backhoe loader face adventure and mishaps from helping out their friend Mighty the tugboat to moving a giant boulder blocking the highway of Go City. Based on the I Stink! books by Jim & Kate McMullan, written by Guy Toubes (The Adventures of Chuck & Friends, Littlest Pet Shop) and animated by Brown Bag Films.

Niko and the Sword of Light (kids 6-11) Ten-year-old Niko is the last of his kind in a fantastical world, who must embark on an epic quest to defeat the darkness and bring light back to the land with his magic sword and new friends. Based on the motion graphic comic by Imaginism Studios and Studio NX, written by Rob Hoegee (Generator Rex, League of Super Evil) and animated by Titmouse.
