Women in Animation will present the next event in its professional development series on Wednesday, August 13 at 6:30 p.m. at Burbank, California’s Animation Guild. Entry is free to WIA members and $25 for non-members. The evening will begin with a mixer where attendees can enjoy light refreshments before the panel starts at 7 p.m.
During the panel, top writers, character designers and voice actors will discuss their methods for creating characters, how their tasks and methods both overlap and differ, and how what they do affects the projects they work work on. Panelists include voice actor Gregg Berger (Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, Men in Black), voice actor Debi Derryberry (Jimmy Neutron, Monster High), writer/creator/story editor Charlotte Fullerton (My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, Avengers Assemble), character designer Steve E. Gordon (Ralph Bakshi’s Lord of the Rings, X-Men: Evolution), writer/developer Craig Miller (Sesame Street, Curious George) and animator/character designer/visual development artist Linda Miller (The Fox and the Hound, Sofia the First).
