9 Story Entertainment has signed up multiple broadcasters for Slap Happy Cartoons’ animated comedy series Nerds and Monsters (40 x 11). Licensees include TVE (Spain), Canal+ Family (France, Africa), E-Junior (UAE), Noga (Israel) and MBC Kids (Middle East). The show previously sold to CiTV (U.K.) and ABC TV (Australia) and was recently given a season two greenlight by Canada’s YTV.
Nerds and Monsters tosses together three nerdy kids and one thick-headed football star on an uncharted island, where they must use their smarts to survive relentless attacks by the hideous (but hilarious) monsters who call the island home. Luckily, outsmarted the beasts isn’t much of a challenge for the intrepid Nerds.
