It’s a color-jammed 1980s flashback week in animated home video releases, with the arrival on disc of a new My Little Pony feature film and a new Care Bears collection.
My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks (Shout! Factory, $24.97 Blu-ray, $16.97 DVD) sees a battle of the bands between the Rainbooms and The Dazzlings at Canterlot High. It should be packed full of pinkish pony goodness for everyone.
Also out this week is Care Bears: Belly Badge Rock (Lionsgate, $14.98 DVD and digital copy), featuring a quartet of stories from the current CGI-animated series Care Bears: Welcome to Care-a-Lot.
Meanwhile, parents might want to stock up on Christmas goodies for the kids, with the release of Franklin & Friends: Franklin’s Christmas Spirit (Phase 4 Films, $12.99) and Thomas & Friends: The Christmas Engines (Universal, $14.98).
