It’s a big day for adventure in the home video world, with major releases from DreamWorks, Disney and more.
The most successful animated feature of the year comes to home video with the release of How to Train Your Dragon 2 (DreamWorks Animation, $48.99 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD and digital copy; $38.99 Blu-ray, DVD and digital copy; DVD, $29.98). That’s a must-add to any collection to help while away the hours awaiting Dragon 3.
It’s also a great day to be a Star Wars completist, with the release of Phineas & Ferb: Star Wars (Disney, $19.99 DVD) and Star Wars The Clone Wars: The Lost Missions (Disney, $45.99 Blu-ray, $39.99 DVD).
Fans of 1990s anime will be thrilled with the release of Sailor Moon: Season 1, Part 1 (VIZ Media, $79.98 Limited Edition Blu-ray, $69.99 Blu-ray, $44.82 DVD).
And while the only animated part is the opening titles and sound effects, we are so excited for the long-awaited release of Batman: The Complete Television Series (Warner Bros., $267.97 Blu-ray and Digital HD; $199.70 DVD), also out as Batman: The Complete First Season (Warner Bros., $39.98 DVD).
On the children’s front, there’s Hey Arnold: The Complete Series (Shout! Factory, $39.99 DVD), the original feature Frozen in Time (ANConnect, $20.99 DVD), Berenstain Bears: The Best of Berenstain Bears (Phase 4 Films, $9.99 DVD), Caillou: Caillou’s Holiday Movie (NCircle Entertainment, $9.99) and Octonauts: Very Vegimal Christmas (NCircle Entertainment, $9.99 DVD).
