Moonbot, Amplify Trailer Annie-Nominated ‘The Raven’

Moonbot Studios and Amplify have released a trailer to their Annie-nominated short film collaboration, The Raven.

The 11-minute short is based on Edgar Allan Poe’s classic poem of the same name. Amplify commissioned the film for its seventh-grade curriculum, which will be used on tablets in classrooms across America.

To complement the film’s use in classrooms, Moonbot also created an educational app based on Edgar Allan Poe works and another 11-minute short based on Poe’s short story, The Cask of Amontillado.

Directed by Brandon Oldenburg and Limbert Fabian, The Raven is narrated by Tony Award-winning actor Jefferson Mays.

Here’s the trailer:

Moonbot Studios previously created the Oscar-winning animated short, The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore. The studio’s animated short film The Numberlys is on the 2015 Academy Awards shortlist for best animated short film.
