Genius Brands International has appointed former Disney Interactive Media Group producer Jason Bumbaugh to the newly created position of Vice President of Digital. He will report to BGI President Amy Moynihan Heyward.
Brumbaugh will bring 15 years of experience in digital ops to his responsibilities for leading all of BGI’s digital initiatives — including creating and maintaining web communities, developing and implementing marketing strategies and creating promotional content for key brands like Baby Genius, Warren Buffett’s Secret Millionaires Club, Thomas Edison’s Secret Lab, Stan Lee’s Mighty 7, Psycho Bunny and From Frank.
In his prior role at Disney Interactive, Brumbaugh spearheaded production of content and promotions for DisneyChannel.com, including show sites, games, downloads, stunt sites, UGC campaigns and sweepstakes. He oversaw high-profile projects, crossover stunts and original movies for top shows like Hannah Montana and Wizards of Waverly Place.
Brumbaugh also served as senior producer at Hub Network, responsible for developing content for HubNetwork.com as well as managing day-to-day digital operations. There he produced record-breaking campaigns and games, including Hub’s 2012 #1 microsite My Little Pony Royal Wedding and 2014 Cablefax Award winning game My Little Pony Racing Is Magic.
A graduate of University of California – Irvine and member of the Producers Guild of America – New Media, Brumbaugh’s resume also includes producer positions at children’s media companies DIC Entertainment and Knowledge Kids Network.
