The Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film, taking place in the German city May 5-10 this year, has extended the deadline for submissions to its Animated Com Award competition to February 13, 2015. The awards will be presented at a special event in the Mercedes-Benz Museum.
The competition is open to examples of animation in the areas of advertising, communication in space and technology. This year will see the fourth bestowal of the Daimler AG Special Award for Future Needs Derivation – Mobility in a Digital World. U.I. Lapp GmbH will award the Lapp Connected Award for the third time.
ITFS’s Animated Com Awards will be determined by a jury of experts from the animation and advertising fields: Dr. Martin Feyock (CEO – advertising, German Producers Alliance; CEO, Exploitation Company TWF Trust Company and the German Academy of Advertising), Prof. Thomas Hundt (CEO, Jangled Nerves), Kathi Kaeppel (creative director, animator, illustrator), Michael Preiswerk (creative director, consultant) and Mate Steinforth (CEO, Sehsucht Berlin).
