Aardman’s sales division has joined forces with Baby Cow Productions, Bigfatstudio and Canadian co-pro partner Smiley Guy Studios as international sales distributor for the animated preschool series, Wussywat (52 x 5).
The show marks a first for Baby Cow and co-founder/managing director Henry Normal, who is best known for his live-action comedy hits Gavin and Stacey, Moon Boy and Uncle. The 2D toon will launch on CBeebies in the U.K. this spring, and Aardman will shop the project at Kidscreen and MIPTV in the coming months.
Wussywat follows the slapstick antics of a clever, curious cat who discovers new and interesting things through his innocent, uncoordinated clumsiness as he explores the seemingly infinite world of The Garden with his friends. The preschool project is the latest to join Aardman’s catalog of hand-picked third party productions such as Digby Dragon, Brain Freeze and Bing.
