Gallery Nucleus, located in Alhambra, CA, has teamed up with Nickelodeon to present a special tribute art exhibition to hit animated series The Legend of Korra and Avatar: The Last Airbender. The show, “Art of the Elements,” opened Saturday evening with a special reception, which featured raffles, giveaways, a limited signing event with series creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael DiMartino, and more.
“Art of the Elements” will run through March 22 at Nucleus, and features behind-the-scenes production art from Korra and Avatar, tribute art by select illustrators and pieces created by series artists. Select fan art submitted during an open call helps round out the celebration of Nick’s popular toon sagas. Gallery Nucleus will be hosting a closing panel on March 22 from 2-5 p.m. with Konietzko and DiMartino, who will be available for fan Q&A, and artists available for signings to follow.
