Paris-based animation producer and distributor Cyber Group Studios reports robust sales of its series — including Zou, Mini Ninjas, The Long Long Holiday and Balloopo — in the first quarter of 2015.
The company will present at MIPTV next week episodes of Zorro: The Chronicles and trailers or development elements of in-production and in-development series including Mirette Investigates, commissioned by TF1, WDR, TV Catalunya and Canal Plus; The Pirates Next Door, with France Télévisions; and a new preschool project called Gigantosaurus, based on the Jonny Duddle best seller. The company also will introduce the first trailer of its interpretation of Tom Sawyer.
Recent major sales include:
- Zou (104 x 11 mins.) has sold to TVOntario in Canada and the second season has been acquired by Mediacorp in Singapore and IRIB in Iran. The series already has been sold in more than 150 territories and broadcast in more than 30 languages.
- Mini Ninjas (52 x 11 mins.) has been picked up by TV3 in Thailand and Mediacorp in Singapore. TV5 Monde has acquired the series for worldwide airing. An action-comedy series aimed at ages 6-11 and coproduced by TF1 Production, Cyber Group Studios and Enanimation, Mini Ninjas was originally produced for TF1 in France and Rai in Italy. It has been pre-bought by Disney XD in France, Disney Channel CIS, Central Eastern Europe, Middle East, & Africa and Latin America, Tele-Quebec in Canada, VRT in Belgium, RTVE Clan in Spain, RTS in Switzerland, RTBF in Belgium, Spectrum in Indonesia.
- The Long Long Holiday (10 x 26 mins. or 5 x 50 mins.), a newly distributed TV series, focusing on World War II from the point of view of children has secured its first presales. A deal was inked with ZDF in Germany as well as DR in Denmark. Produced by Les Armateurs for France TV and Canal Plus, the series targets ages 6-12 and will air in May 2015 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II.
- Balloopo (52 x 11 mins.), a series for preschoolers, has been picked up by Thai PBS in Thailand and IRIB in Iran.
Cyber Group Studios also has closed package deals for Animalia (40 x 24 mins.), Adams Bakery (52 x 13 mins.), Raju the Rickshaw (78 x 7 mins.), Grenadine & Peppermint (78 x 7 mins.), Mademoiselle Zazie (78 x 7 mins.) and MIA (39 x 11 mins) with international broadcasters such as TV2 in Norway, JKN in Thailand, Mediacorp in Singapore, IRIB in Iran, Pixel TV in Ukraine, POD Worldwide in Thailand.
