To celebrate the stateside theatrical release of Maya the Bee Movie, Shout! Factory Kids and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles have teamed up to present a benefit screening of the family-friendly flick on Saturday, May 2 at Laemmle’s Music Hall Theater in Beverly Hills. Shout! will donate all the ticket proceeds from this event to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, And production company Studio 100 Media and Shout! have further offered to match the funds raised as an additional donation.
Shout! will also present a private, advance screening of the movie to patients and their families at the hospital ahead of the May 1 theatrical opening in L.A. and New York. Kids at CHLA will be able to get a first look at Maya the Bee Movie at a screening in the hospital’s movie facilities and through the in-room on-demand entertainment system.
