Ultimate Marvel Marathon Coming to El Capitan

During the Nerdist panel at WonderCon in Anaheim this weekend, CEO Chris Hardwick announced that Nerdist Industries will present “The Ultimate Marvel Marathon” at Hollywood’s legendary El Capitan Theatre — brought to audiences by Cheez-It and Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Treats. The event will screen all 11 films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, culminating with the shiny new adventure Avengers: Age of Ultron. The marathon kicks off Monday, April 20 at 6:30 p.m. and wraps up after an 8:30 p.m. showing the next day.

Hardwick and other Nerdist talent will host the marathon, with help from special guests set to pop in throughout the epic 29-hour event. Attendees who see all 11 films will receive an exclusive, commemorative poster and will be entered in a drawing for two tickets to the Ant-Man world premiere. All guests will be given a commemorative event credential and get free meals, plus Cheez-It crackers and Rice Krispies Treats and other snacks, including popcorn in a souvenir metal tub. The screenings will also be interspersed with a costume contest, raffles and giveaways.

Tickets are $70 and are available now through elcapitantickets.com, 1-800-DISNEY6 or at the box office. Encore runs of the marathon will take place April 29 in theaters throughout the U.S. — tickets to these Ultimate Marvel Marathon events are available through Fandango.
