Rainmaker Entertainment and production partner Blockade Entertainment, together with China’s CNHK Media, have revealed the impressive voice cast roster for their upcoming CG feature Ratchet & Clank — based on Sony’s hit PlayStation videogame series from Insomniac Games. The film will screen for distributors at Cannes this week.
The A-list cast includes Paul Giamatti as Chairman Drek, John Goodman as Grimroth, Bella Thorne (The Snow Queen 2) as Cora, Rosario Dawson as Elaris and Sylvester Stallone as Victor. The celebs join veteran talent from the games James Arnold Taylor (Star Wars: Clone Wars, TMNT) as Ratchet, David Kaye (Up) as Clank, Armin Shimerman (Bionicle: The Legend Reborn) as Nefarious and Jim Ward (The Fairly OddParents) as Captain Qwark.
Ratchet & Clank is directed by Kevin Munroe (TMNT), co-directed by Jericca Cleland, and produced by Blockade’s Foxhoven and VP of Development David Wohl along with Rainmaker’s SVP of Production and Operations, Kim Dent Wilder serving as Producer. Michael Hefferon serves as lead Executive Producer. Former Insomniac Games writer TJ Fixman wrote the original screenplay draft, with director Kevin Munroe contributing significantly to the script.
