Studio 100 and Universum Film are teaming up once again to release Princess Emmy – The Movie — a new animated feature set to be theater-ready in late 2016 or early 2017. The two companies last year collaborated on Maya the Bee – The Movie, which has seen a successful international roll-out.
Princess Emmy – The Movie follows the “princess with a difference” and her 26 horses as they experience their first big adventure. Aimed at entertaining the whole family, the film will highlight messages of friendship, courage and the spirit of discovery.
The feature adaptation of the books from Egmont Ehapa Media is being scripted and directed by Piet de Rycker (Laura’s Star, The Little Polar Bear 2). Studio 100’s CEO Patrick Elmendorff and Thorsten Wegener serve as producers. Studio 100 Media is in attendance at the Cannes market this week, at Stand #119.
