Shout! Factory Kids and Hasbro Studios are whipping up a new feature-length animated adventure for pony fans of all ages, with My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Friendship Games arriving on Blu-ray and DVD October 13 in the U.S. and Canada. The release will feature a bonus deleted scene of a musical performance, new audio commentary,sing-alongs and animated shorts.
Friendship Games, the third outing for the Equestria Girls line, sees Canterlot High take on its rival school Crystal Prep Academy in the age old tradition of competition called The Friendship Games — a series of events including archery, motocross and rollerskating. Sunset Shimmer is tasked with keeping magic out of the games while she and her friends compete against Crystal Prep’s top students lead by this world’s Twilight Sparkle.
