‘Inside Out’ on Disc and Digital This Fall

Disney-Pixar’s Inside Out will be arriving on Digital HD and Disney Movies Anywhere on October 13, followed by Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray Combo Pack and On-Demand releases on November 3. Among the extensive list of bonus features are a behind the scenes look at how women filmmakers made their way to careers at the acclaimed studio, and an all-new animated short titled Riley’s First Date?

Directed by Pete Docter, Inside Out largely takes place inside the mind of young Riley, whose happy life is turned upside down when her family moves  to San Francisco. The stars are Riley’s emotions Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Anger (Lewis Black) and Disgust (Mindy Kaling), who struggle to keep on top of the upheaval in Riley’s life and bring balance to her mental state, represented by ever-shifting fantastical lands of imagination and memory inside her head.

Blu-ray bonus features include Riley’s First Date?, theatrical short LAVA, Story of the Story with Pete Docter, Paths to Pixar: The Women of Inside Out, Mixed Emotions with the filmmakers, Mapping the Mind with the artists, Our Dads, the Filmmakers with Elie Docter and composer Michael Giacchino’s daughter Grace Giacchino, Into the Unknown: The Sound of Inside Out with sound designer Ren Klyce, The Misunderstood Art of Animation Film Editing, four deleted scenes, commentary with Pete Docter, Ronnie del Carmen and producer Jonas Rivera, Mind Candy interstitials montage, and trailers.

The Disney Movies Anywhere release will include the exclusive features Designing Abstract Thought with character designer Albert Lozano and two unique deleted scenes: “Joy Alone” and “Imagination Park.”
