WB Unveils ‘Iron Giant: Signature Edition’ Trailer

Warner Bros. and Fathom Events will present two showings of the remastered The Iron Giant: Signature Edition in select theaters nationwide on Wednesday, September 30 at 7 p.m. local time and Sunday, October 4 at noon local time. The Signature Edition is further enhanced by two all-new scenes. The film is also set to screen at the Toronto Film Festival, and a Blu-ray release is planned for this fall.

The directorial debut of filmmaker Brad Bird, when The Iron Giant first arrived in theaters in 1999 it was universally acclaimed by critics — WSJ’s Joe Morgenstern called it an “instant classic” — and earned nine Annie Awards from the ASIFA-Hollywood judges. The story of nine-year-old Hogarth’s unusual friendship with a massive alien robot and tries to protect this giant innocent from a paranoid U.S. government agent has lived up to the praise ever since and is set to win over audiences all over again.

The Iron Giant features the voices of Jennifer Aniston, Harry Connick Jr., Cloris Leachman, James Gammon, M. Emmet Walsh, Christopher McDonald, John Mahoney, Eli Marienthal as Hogarth and Vin Diesel as The Iron Giant. Brad Bird went on to direct Pixar’s The Incredibles and Ratatouille as well as live-action Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and Disney’s Tomorrowland.

Tickets are available through FathomEvents.com or the box office at participating theaters, which can be found listed on the website.
