The Bron group of companies based in Vancouver, Canada — Bron Studios, its genre label The Realm, Bron Releasing, Bron Animation and affiliate companies — have reorganized under a new parent company, Bron Media Corp. Financial veteran Daniel D. McClure has signed on as the corp’s President & COO. The announcement was made by Bron Media CEO Aaron L. Gilbert.
McClure most recently served as CEO of CQI Capital Management. He is a graduate of Ivey Business School, and began his career in investment banking at Scotia Capital Markets and Morgan Stanley before moving into investment management and then an executive with Investors Group. As part of Bron Media’s expansion, he will be based in newly established Toronto offices.
Bron Animation was established in 2011 to create, develop and produce CG feature films, series and specials. Last year it was announced that Bron Studios had entered a production agreement with Gary Sanchez Productions for its planned 2016 feature Henchmen. Bron Studios will be premiering three live-action films at TIFF this year: Hank Williams biopic I Saw the Light, Paul Gross’ Hyena Road and Into the Forest starring Ellen Page and Evan Rachel Wood.
