FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment announces that a number of major international broadcasters have acquired its new preschool show Kate & Mim-Mim (26 x 22). Among the newly onboard are Disney Asia, MBC (Middle East), ETV (South Africa), YLE (Finland), Karusel (Russia), Cartoonito (Italy), MiniMini (Poland) and Minika (Turkey).
These sales add on to existing deals with key broadcasters including CBeebies (U.K.), Disney Junior (U.S.), Super RTL (Germany), Clan (Spain), Lagardere (France), DR (Denmark), SVT (Sweden), Panda (Portugal), Mini Max (CEE), PBS (Thailand) and Okto (Singapore). Home entertainment agreements have been signed with PBS (U.S.), Big Picture (Spain), SF (Nordics) and Cass (Poland), which are all planning DVD releases for next year.
Created by award-winning husband and wife team Scott and Julie Stewart, Kate & Mim-Mim follows the adventures of Kate, a feisty little girl, and her toy rabbit Mim-Mim. Together, they travel to the fantasy world of Mimiloo where Mim-Mim comes alive as a larger-than-life playmate. Each episode finds the duo and their lovable friends discovering exciting new places and setting off on adventures in order to solve real-world problems.
FremantleMedia Kids & Family Ent. holds exclusive worldwide TV distribution and licensing rights to the property outside Canada. Season two is currently in production, and will premiere on Disney Junior U.S. next year.
