The Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art (MoCCA) in New York City will be marking its first anniversary with a celebration/fundraiser on Friday, Nov. 15 from 8:00 p.m. to midnight. The event will be hosted by Stretch Films, the producers of Cartoon Network’s Courage the Cowardly Dog, in its 11th floor animation studio at 6 West 18th St. (between Fifth & Sixth Aves).
MoCCA has been responsible for a host of comic and cartoon appreciation events this past year, including the popular MoCCA Art Festival. In addition to food, beverages and animation screenings, the anniversary celebration will offer attendees chances to enter raffles for special prizes. A $25 minimum donation is suggested, with all proceeds benefiting the 501(c)3 non-profit museum and its mission.
Space is limited. To get on the guest list, contact Karen at Stretch Films at kaliz@aol.com or 212-691-9969. For more information about MoCCA, its First Anniversary Celebration, or other upcoming MoCCA events, visit www.moccany.org.
