Big Bad Boo Studios will shortly begin production on season three of its award-winning animated series 1001 Nights. Creators Aly Jetha and Shabnam Rezaei, along with showrunner and Emmy Award winner Randy Rogel, return to the drawing board for another 26 x 11 run of the action-adventure-comedy that builds on the legendary stories of Shahrzad.
1001 Nights airs in over 60 countries in 15 languages, with broadcast partners including Cartoon Network, Disney Channel, Discovery Kids, Teletoon, PBS, Globo TV, ORF, VRT, RBTF, Children’s Channel ISrael, CBC Radio Canada, Al Jazeera Children’s, TV Jamaica and more. The series has won international honors, including four LEo awards, and has been a top 10 screening room title at MIP Junior for four years straight.
Big Bad Boo has also expanded the brand with a comic-book series, website and online games. The comics have been published in six languages, selling over one million copies and also seeing a digital release on Comixology.
