The British Animation Awards, which will be celebrating its 20th anniversary next year, has announced the nomination categories for the 2016 edition.
The BAA is asking the nation’s animators toenter their work for awards in the following categories: Best Animation in a Commercial, Best New Director: Commercials, Best Film/TV Graphics, Best Long Form Animation, Best Voice Performance, Best Use of Sound, Best Music Video, Best Short Film, Best Children’s Pre School Series, Best Children’s Series and Best Student Film.
The public will have a chance to laud their favorites in the Public Choice Awards for Favourite Short Film and Music Video and young viewers will also have their say in the Children’s Choice Award, where a panel of children will choose from the finalists in the children’s categories.
Applicants can apply through www.britishanimationawards.com and the BAA Facebook Page. Entry deadline is November 30, 2015. The biennial awards ceremony will be held at London’s BFI Southbank on March 10, 2016.
