The European Film Academy has nominated three films for the European Animated Feature Film category for its 2015 awards, which will be presented Dec. 12 in Berlin.
The nominated films are:
- Adama, France, 82 min. Simon Rouby, director; Julien Lilti and Simon Rouby, writers; Philippe Aigle, Séverine Lathuillière, Daniel Goudineau, Azmina Goulamaly, Alain Séraphine and Lucien Chemla, producers; Pierre Ducos, animation.
- Shaun The Sheep The Movie, U.K. and France, 85 min. Richard Starzak and Mark Burton, writers and directors; Paul Kewley and Julie Lockhart, producers; Will Becher, animation.
- Song of the Sea, Ireland, Belgium, Denmark, France and Luxembourg, 93 min. Tomm Moore, director; William Collins, writer; Paul Young, producer; Fabian Earlinghauser and Sean McCarron, animation.
The nominations were selected by a committee that consisted of EFA board member Antonio Saura, producer (Spain); animation experts Marcel Jean (Annecy FF, Canada) and Anja Šošić (Human Ark, Poland); as well as Petteri Pasanen (Anima Vitae, Finland), Iain Harvey (The Illuminated Film Company, U.K.) and Jacques-Rémy Girerd (director, France), the latter three representing CARTOON, the European Association of Animation Film.
The nominated films will be submitted to the more than 3,000 EFA members to elect the winner.
