‘Gumball,’ ‘Gravity,’ ‘Minions’ Win BAFTA Children’s Awards

The Amazing World of Gumball, Minions and Gravity Falls were among the big animation category winners at the BAFTA Children’s Awards, presented Nov. 22 in a ceremony at Roundhouse, London, hosted by Doc Brown.

Gumball won its third BAFTA for animation and its sixth award overall from the org.

Disney XD’s Gravity Falls won the best international show award and Minions was voted by kids the best feature of 2015.

The Clangers won the best preschool animated series.

The animation winners follow:

  • Children’s Animation in 2015: The Amazing World of Gumball, Ben Bocquelet, Mic Graves, Sarah Fell
  • BAFTA Kids’ Vote — Film in 2015: Minions
  • Children’s Channel of the Year in 2015: CBBC
  • Children’s Feature Film in 2015: Paddington, Paul King, David Heyman
  • Children’s International in 2015: Gravity Falls
  • Children’s Preschool Animation in 2015: The Clangers
