The Society of Voice Arts and Sciences will present the second annual Voice Arts Awards this Sunday, November 15 at L.A.’s Pacific Design Center. The international competition aims to showcase the best work in professional voiceover acting, creative direction and communications for advertising, audiobook narration, movie trailers, videogames, animation, television, radio and casting.
This year, the legendary William Shatner will be on hand to receive a special honor from the Voice Arts jury: the Icon Award for lifetime achievement. Also receiving special acknowledgement are Pixar Animation casting masters Kevin Reher and Natalie Lyon, who will receive the Backstage Vanguard Award for Outstanding Casting, presented in partnership with Backstage Magazine, on Saturday night during the That’s Voiceover! Conference.
