Canadian kids entertainment company Bejuba! Entertainment has inked a deal with Koko Rose Media, picking up global distribution rights for animated preschool series Deer Little Forest (52 x 11). Bejuba! will handle both TV sales and co-production opportunities worldwide, excluding U.K.
Tatiana Kober, President of Bejuba! comments, “We fell in love with this project when it was first introduced to us. We’re so excited to become part of the team! Deer Little Forest’s celebration of the great outdoors, the lushness of the design, the wonderful characters and the delightful storytelling all come together to make a really unique stand-out show.”
Kober and VP of International Distribution Sandrine Pechels de Saint Sardos will be presenting the series at Kidscreen and MIPTV in the near future.
Based on a concept by Henries Award-nominated illustrator Jo Rose, Deer Little Forest tells the story of wild-at-heart Forest Flo and her eclectic mix of charming animal friends as they navigate the kid-relatable challenges that life in the woods can toss up, with a healthy amount of critter comedy and woodland wackiness as well as a focus on learning through doing, asking questions, and teamwork. The series is being developed with BATFA winning UK studio King Rollo Films.
The property also includes a picture book by Alison Green, Party in the Deer Little Forest, currently under submission with global publishers; licensing agents in 15 territories; a preschool-friendly app for iOS and Android and more.
