Destination D: Amazing Adventures Set for November

D23: The Official Disney Fan Club has announced that this year, members are invited to join in a celebration of all things adventurous at Destination D: Amazing Adventures, taking place November 19 and 20 at Walt Disney World. The event will highlight Walt Disney films and attractions from True-Life Adventures, to the Jungle Cruise and Pirates of the Caribbean, to the soon-to-be-unveiled planet of Pandora at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Presenters and panelists on board include Disney Legends Marty Sklar and Tony Baxter, Imagineers Joe Rohde, Chris Merritt, Jason Grandt and Wyatt Winter; producer Don Hahn (The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast); and Archives director Becky Cline.

Highlights of the program will include “New Walt Disney World Adventures: From Soarin’ Around the World to Rivers of Light” with Imagineers, “Disney’s Animal Kingdom: Evolving a New Species of Theme Park,” “Magic Journeys: 45 Years of Walt Disney World Adventures,” “A Look Back at Walt Disney’s True-Life Adventures” and “The Art and Adventures of Marc Davis” with Imagineering senior production designer Chris Merritt, who is writing a book on Davis.
