BAFTA-winning British production company Kindle Entertainment has hired on animation producer and consultant Lindsay Watson as Head of Animation. She will be jumping into development on four of Kindle’s latest kids’ TV series projects.

Watson’s first slate of projects includes preschool book property Hugless Douglas by David Melling (Hachette) aimed Annie Burrows’ Ivy & Bean (Chronicle Books), a New York Times Best Seller aimed at kids 5-9. Kindle’s slate is focused on comic storytelling, vibrant characters and distinctive role models, like Ivy & Bean’s high-spirited girl heroines.

Kindle Entertainment is known for animated preschool series Dinopaws, which was co-produced with Laughing Gravy (UK) and Guru Studios (Canada) and won Best Animation at the 20th International Shanghai TV Festival. Founded in 2007, Kindle’s recent projects include season three of Hank Zipzer starring Henry Winkler, season three of interactive mystery Dixi, and magical adventure series Jamillah & Aladdin.
