CN Toons Up SDCC with ‘We Bare Bears’ & ‘Powerpuff Girls’ Panels

Cartoon Network on Saturday presented a back-to-back panel extravaganza featuring two of its popular toons: We Bare Bears and the new The Powerpuff Girls, both making their San Diego Comic-Con debuts with their first proper panels. Audiences in the Indigo Ballroom were treated to never-before-seen footage and behind-the-scenes insights from cast and crew.

Representing We Bare Bears were Annie Award winner and series creator Daniel Chong, storyboard artist Lauren Sassen, series writer Mikey Heller, director Manny Hernandez, and voice actors Eric Edelstein (Grizzly), Bobby Moynihan (Panda) and Demetri Martin (Ice Bear). Sassen did a live illustration, and fans got a sneak peek at “Icy Nights” — the episode premieres later this year and sees Ice Bear ride his custom vacuum into the city, where a gang of techies steal his ride.
