The latest buzz from Google Spotlight Stories is that another short has been added to its YouTube library: Buggy Night. Previously launched on Moto X and Moto G as well as the Google Spotlight Stories app, Buggy Night features a nocturnal group of signing bugs who are interrupted by a roving flashlight beam — and a very hungry frog.
Buggy Night is directed by Mark Oftedal — a veteran Pixar and Simpsons animation artist. Production design is by Caldecott-winning illustrator Jon Klassen, with Karen Dufilho as producer, Jan Pinkava as creative director and Scot Stafford as creative director for music and sound. Watch it here!
The short is now available in the YouTube Kids app for iOS and Android, and can be experienced in full interactive 360 viewing through the YouTube app for compatible Android devices. (Never watched a 360 short? Here’s a quick how-to.)
