Boomerang Shells Out for Multi-territory ‘Cracké’ Deal

Quebec studio Squeeze announces that Turner’s Boomerang channel will be bringing original animated short series Cracké to the UK, Germany, Italy and Portugal. The slapstick CG series will begin airing for new audiences in October, bringing its reach up to more than 175 countries and territories.

“It’s always an amazing feeling to realize that our original characters will have the chance to make people laugh, no matter where they come from, or where they live!” says Denis Doré, Squeeze’s president and co-founder. “Seeing that Cracké can travel the world gives our team a wonderful boost of energy for the second season’s creative process that is well under way!”

Cracké centers on an anxious ostrich dad named Ed, who in trying to protect his beloved brood of eight fragile eggs, causes all sorts of trouble and gets himself into dangerous predicaments. The series airs on Teletoon in Canada and has spawned a mobile game and innovative comic-book app.
