+ DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls will star in a retail campaign for Spanish retailer El Corte Ingles’ “8 Golden Days” promotion, through a collaboration with Planeta Junior. The film’s colorful characters will be featured in 1.5 million copies of the 8 Golden Days catalog, in exclusive spaces in-stores, a presence in all product categories and photo ops for young fans. There will also be store-exclusive Trolls toys from Hasbro on offer, “trollified” alarms and announcements, and Trolls will pop up in El Corte Ingles digital communications, website and social pages. Customers who spend more than 20 euros on Trolls products will get one free ticket to the film. (Oct. 21-Nov. 13)
+ Koko Rose Media has appointed three regional licensing agents to represent its new animated preschool series Flora of the Forest. Now on board are Empire Multimedia (Southeast Asia & Greater China), Brand Licensing by Burda (Germany, Austria & German-speaking Switzerland) and Think Tank Emporium (US & Canada). All three companies also represent Koko Rose’s Deer Little Forest.
+ One Animation and UK licensing agent ITV Studios Global Entertainment have secured a first raft of local partners for Oddbods. These include master toy partner Golden Bear which launched its range in July; Bonnier (activity & sticker books, April 2017), Cooneen and Misirli (kids & adults nightwear, underwear, socks; Spring/Summer ‘17), Kids@Play (outdoor playballs & hoppers; Fall/Winter ‘17), Whitehouse Leisure (plush for arcade machines; Summer ‘17) and Moonpig (greeting cards).
+ Raydar Media, based in L.A. and London, will be bringing a broad slate of kids & family series, documentaries and factual formats to both BLE and MIPCOM. In addition to many successful live-action offerings, the company is launching TV and licensing rights for Sydney Sailboat, a No. 1 ABC Kids and Top Ten Tinypop show which has already sold to many key territories including NorAm, UK and Australia.
+ Warner Bros. Consumer Products continues to engage the high fashion world with new Looney Tunes collections on the way from top designers and retailers. Across Europe, Primark, H&M, Zara, Mango, Codello and Oviesse are expanding their LT collections and carry a range of garments for men, women and children. Zara just launched a women’s range with premium denim items, adding Tweety and Porky pig bags and Wile E. Coyote sneakers. More LT women’s kit is coming to 1,700 Mango stores in 2017. Longterm partner Iceberg debuted men’s and women’s knitwear and tees featuring Marvin the Martian, Sylvester and Daffy Duck at A/W 2016. Other trendsetting partnerships have been set with Paul & Joe (Sylvester and Tweety dresses, skirts, shorts, denim, sweats), Pull & Bear (fashion tees) and Sugarbird (large-print dresses and trouser suits for women).
