Gaumont Animation’s President, Nicolas Atlan, has announced the French outfit will reorganize its leadership by promoting Marc Dhrami to Head of Operations, and appointed Gaëlle Guiny as Director of Animated Series Developments.
The two executives will be in charge of development and production of animated series at Gaumont’s Paris office, reporting directly to Atlan. Guiny will also work closely with Terry Kalagian, Gaumont Animation’s Los Angeles-based VP of Creative.
Dhrami has been serving as Gaumont Animation’s Head of Production Financing & Coproductions since 2011, and has previously held production team positions at Millimages, Bac Films and Dargaud.
Guiny is an experienced producer and production executive in both the documentary and animation spheres. Her credits include projects for Gaumont (and its former incarnation, Alphanim): Lanfeust Quest, Dude, That’s My Ghost! and Calimero.
In operation for over 15 years, Gaumont Animation has developed, produced and distributed some of the most successful European toons, building up a 30-plus title catalog. Currently in production at the Paris studio are Belle & Sebastian (52 x 11), Furry Wheels (52 x 11), Trulli Tales (52 x 11) and Noddy (52 x 11, with DreamWorks). The LA office is working on Netflix original series F Is for Family (16 x 30) and Kristen Bell vehicle Do, Re & Mi(52 x 11).
