Portfolio Doffs ‘Cat in the Hat’ & ‘Doki’ for China’s iQiYi

Leading kids’ content producer-distributor Portfolio Entertainment has inked its first-ever deal with China’s iQiYi Kids VOD platform, which will bring 86 half-hours of top preschool toons The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot about That! and DOKI to the service, streaming in Mandarin. Cat in the Hat (60 x 30 min.) and DOKI (26 x 30 min.) both currently air throughout Asia.

Both shows feature engaging, humorous science- and nature-themed adventures. In addition to being dubbed into Mandarin, the shows will be available with English subtitles so kids can add a language-learning dimension to their viewing.

“Mainland China has a very robust digital environment, and millennial parents gravitate to the internet and SVODs specifically for high quality educational content for their kids. iQiYi is the perfect home for these two iconic series.” says Portfolio Ent. Co-Founder and CEO, Joy Rosen.
